Why would I use BrookWood Services instead of seeing a licensed, professional counselor?
Not everyone needs a licensed counselor to work through the difficulties they are facing.
Many people find it difficult these days to make an appointment with a licensed counselor without waiting weeks or even months to actually see the counselor.
Though you cannot submit claims to your insurance or use a health savings account (HAS) to pay for sessions with BrookWood Services, our prices are significantly lower than those of licensed counselors.
While many licensed counselors are Christians and will incorporate your faith into therapies, they typically do not emphasize faith as a part of your moving toward freedom and health.
What is Spiritual Direction and how does it vary from Life Coaching?
Christian Spiritual Direction is a relational process where a gifted Spiritual Director helps another Christian deepen their relationship with God. It’s a chance to share spiritual experiences, reflect on life’s direction, and learn to recognize God’s presence. The goal is to become more like Jesus Christ and live out one’s faith in his or her everyday life.
Life Coaching is a relational process that helps people identify and achieve goals in various areas of their lives, such as career, relationships, health, and work-life balance. Life coaches use their education, life experiences, and appropriate tools to guide clients through this process, which may involve setting goals, analyzing current situations, and developing strategies for positive change and development.
What do you mean by Organizational Health?
A healthy organization begins with a cohesive leadership team at the top; one built on a foundation of trust. This team must create clarity and alignment around 6 key questions that lay out what kind of organization this is, where it is going and how it will succeed. Then, they have to communicate this to the rest of the organization again and again. Finally, they must support that communication with behavior, systems and processes. So, cohesiveness, alignment, clarity and congruity between talk and walk.
My fiancé and I have a great relationship. Why would we want to do premarital counseling?
Couples naturally focus on and press into the areas of their relationship that gives them that “in love” feeling. They also avoid topics and areas of the relationship where they intuitively know there may be problems. Once the couple is married, new challenges force them to deal with issues that they’ve never discussed before.
The main purpose of premarital counseling is to help the couple gain tools to communicate, resolve conflict, and discuss ALL areas of a relationship before they have to do it under pressure in the moment.
